Design brief
The project reimagines the former GSP stadium as a sculpted green urban park that prioritizes nature while integrating seamlessly with its surroundings. Positioned along a key axis in Nicosia, the park becomes a refuge within the city—an open landscape for gathering, an amphitheater for events, and a framework that incorporates commercial uses to ensure long‑term sustainability.
Elevated edges rise to meet the theatre foyer, forming a generous public platform. Two linear cuts carve out commercial façades, activating the perimeter, while a pergola along Evagorou Street introduces additional amenities and shaded circulation. A water curtain defines the boundary between park and street, improving the microclimate and enhancing the sensory experience of the space.
