Design brief
This family retreat is concealed within the mountains of Prodromos, set on a sloped terrain and surrounded by dense woodland. The two‑storey house is conceived as a simple fair‑faced concrete prism, its wide openings framing the forest and drawing the landscape into the interior.
Entry is at road level, where the first floor unfolds as an open‑plan space with kitchen, living and dining areas, a bathroom, and a bedroom. Below, the ground floor accommodates a cellar and two additional bedrooms with a shared bathroom, offering a quieter, more sheltered zone within the slope.
The building is constructed entirely in fair‑faced concrete, a material choice that reinforces its monolithic presence in the landscape. This clarity extends to the interior, where polished concrete floors maintain the same restrained, tactile character throughout.
